Berlin is so much more than just Berghain, Tempelhofer Feld, the flea market in Mauerpark or the many kebabs in Neukölln. A lively and diverse cultural, café and bar scene awaits you here in Charlottenburg. Here you can experience authentic Berlin and perhaps strike up a conversation with one or two original Berliners. We reveal six fantastic places to go out in Charlottenburg.
Café Diener Tattersall
Just a stone’s throw from Schwarzes Café is another of our recommendations: Café Diener Tattersall. Between art and pub, you can spend many pleasant hours here. The charm of times gone by, wood panelling and photographs from the last 128 years make the Diener a place you’ll never want to leave or come back to again and again. The menu includes German classics such as potato pancakes, black pudding and Königsberger Klopse.
Address: Grolmanstraße 47, 10623 Berlin
Schwarzes Café
Whether during the day or at night – good coffee, sparkling drinks and all kinds of home-made delicacies await you at Schwarzes Café. Treat yourself to pasta, cake or simply a delicious breakfast in the middle of the night. The Schwarzes Café is open all day on Saturdays and Sundays. So you can make a detour here whenever you like.
It’s quaint, cosy and special – a place for night owls, daydreamers and neighbourhood characters.

Ludwigkirchplatz
In spring and summer, when the sun comes out again and spoils us, it’s high time to sit outside again. Berlin has many parks, forests and smaller green spaces that invite you to simply enjoy the moment. One such place is Ludwigkirchplatz. Sit in the greenery, perhaps chat to an Urberliner and if you get hungry or thirsty, there is a large selection of bars and pubs around the square.
Address: Ludwigkirchstraße, 10719 Berlin
Galander Charlottenburg
At Galander Charlottenburg, you can take a trip back in time. The interior is reminiscent of the parlours of the Roaring Twenties and gives the Galander a very special flair. Incidentally, the location was a brothel in the 1920s and is now probably one of the best places to go out in Charlottenburg. On the menu you will find exquisite cocktails, rum, wine, champagne and more.

If you like jazz, funk and live shows, we have another recommendation for a night out in Charlottenburg. Quasimodo is one of the best concert clubs in the city. From indie and funk to jazz and soul, Quasimodo offers the right event for every taste. Paired with delicious drinks, the venue really is a place you should experience.

Trompete
Another place we would like to recommend to you is Trompete. Founded by Ben Becker and Dimitri Hegemann, Trompete has developed into a club where Berliners and tourists alike celebrate and spend unforgettable hours. The popular after-work party takes place here on Thursdays. Drinks are served from 7 pm and the dance floor opens at 9 pm. There is also partying and dancing here on Saturday. Drinks are available from 9 pm and dancing starts at 11 pm.
