The magic of the Waldbühne Berlin

The Waldbühne Berlin is a living symbol of Berlin’s culture and history. Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of the Grunewald forest, this unique open-air stage offers a breathtaking backdrop for concerts and events like no other.

Our charming boutique hotel Louisa’s Place is located just a few kilometres from the Waldbühne Berlin. This is the perfect opportunity for us to tell you more about this cultural heritage site.

The origins of the Waldbühne Berlin

Its history dates back to 1930 when it was originally opened as part of the International Horticultural Exhibition. The total area covers 69,585 m². Its auditorium officially seats 22,290 people.

From 1962 onwards, the Waldbühne Berlin was mainly used for concerts due to its excellent acoustics and unique atmosphere. Since then, it has developed into an important cultural meeting place where numerous artists and bands from all over the world have performed. The extraordinary ambience of this stage attracts not only music lovers, but also people who want to experience the interplay of nature and art.

To the east of the Waldbühne are the areas of the bell tower, the Maifeld and the Langemarckhalle, which belong to the Berlin Olympic Park, as well as the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
